KEBBI GOVERNOR’S WIFE DISTRIBUTES BAGS OF RICE AND CASH TO IGBO WOMEN AND YOUTH WING OF CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA, BIRNIN KEBBI ZONE.
In her quest to bring succor to women and youth in the state, the wife of the Governor of Kebbi state, Dr Nafisa Nasir Idris, has distributed 500 Bags of Rice and 2million naira to Igbo women and youth wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Birnin kebbi zone.
In her speech, at Igbo Hall, Badariya, the wife of the Governor, Dr Nafisa Nasir, who was represented by Hajiya Maryam Hassan Kaoje, said the initiative became necessary to ensure that Igbo women celebrate Christmas in a good condition, while appreciating their support for the the present administration, calling on them to maintain the tempo.
In their separate remarks, Mr Mbafuluba Osita, wife of Eze Igbo, Mrs Chioma Okafor, Chief Samuel Nnamani, “Wazirin Inyamurai” hailed Governor Nasir Idris and his wife Dr Nafisa Nasir for their immense contribution and support to Igbo community, reiterating their total support to the present government.
It could be recalled that the Dr Nafisa Nasir was honored with the title of “Nnedi ugbomma” by Igbo community in appreciation of her contributions and support to them.
The coordinator of Youth Wing of Christian Association of Nigeria, Birnin Kebbi zone, thanked Dr Nafisa Nasir for showing compassion to them and Governor Nasir Idris for his good style of leadership that gives Christians a sense of belonging, while praying for him to return for the second term come 2027.
The wife of the Governor was accompanied by Elders forum, NANAS foundation among others.
Highlight of the programme was presentation of Bags of Rice and 2million naira to each group.
